Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the planning and network systems for Amazon's middle-mile transportation technology.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to model inputs like carrier supply, costs, transit times, and distances, delivering scalable services and multi-modal planning across Road, Air, Rail and Ocean.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior engineers, product managers and business stakeholders to design and implement highly available web services
• Work with research science to develop and model new planning related algorithms
• Convert a problem statement and requirements into a scalable and extendible design along with tasks
• Write quality code as part of implementing aforementioned designs and deliver them in time
• Assist directly and indirectly in the continual hiring and mentoring of other SDEs
