Overview

The Product Expansion / Activation team at Klaviyo focuses on improving the early experience of Klaviyo for new customers. We work to increase the rate at which customers are setting up their Klaviyo accounts and gaining value from the platform. We are looking for generalist software engineers with a passion for the experience layer, who are interested in growing a user base and building a strong onboarding pipeline and experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement user-experience improvements across the Klaviyo product, especially in areas that affect new customers.
• Design and implement A/B tests to validate ideas, and interpret results to inform iterative product improvements.
• Collaborate with marketing, data-science, sales, and engineering to identify areas for improvement and engage with customers to better serve their needs.
• Help improve experimentation and development processes, and mentor other engineers on the team.
• Define goals, constraints, and context for AI agents, while ensuring correctness of implementation with a focus on security, performance, and maintainability.
• Work from our Boston HQ at least three days a week.

Qualifications

• Background in full-stack software engineering with experience building and improving products emphasizing user-facing features and the supporting APIs and infrastructure.
• Data-driven mindset with a passion for growing and improving a product on a daily basis.
• Experience with A/B testing and metric-based goals to improve user experience and customer acquisition/success (nice to have).
• Demonstrated ability or willingness to learn AI-driven software delivery practices and methods.
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, customer-focused, and strategic environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range for US locations: $116,000—$174,000 USD. In addition to base salary, compensation may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE for sales and customer success roles), equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
