Job summary

Cadence Design Systems is seeking a highly motivated software engineer for the Genus Synthesis Solution product. Join a research and development team tasked with advancing logic synthesis, physical design, and timing analysis in a distributed environment.

You will design and contribute to large-scale software projects, collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, high-performance tools on UNIX/Linux platforms. A BS in CS or EE and strong C/C++ and Tcl skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Experience with UNIX and/or Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Tcl.
• Experience with multithreaded and/or distributed programming.
• Prior experience with large software development projects.
• Prior experience with timing analysis software development projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and support Genus Synthesis Solution software.
• Collaborate with a distributed development team to create innovative technologies for logic synthesis and physical design.
• Contribute to the advancement of solutions in areas such as logic synthesis, word-level synthesis, static timing analysis, computer architecture, verification, RTL compilation, placement, power analysis, routing, extraction, and optimization.
• Participate in large-scale software development projects, including timing analysis software initiatives.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and performance of delivered solutions.
