Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II, Software to design and develop innovative software solutions within a hi-tech engineering environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Data teams and engage with customers to translate requirements into robust desktop applications. The role requires 4+ years of software design and development experience, strong OO analysis/design, and experience with .NET, C#, WPF or Windows Forms, and MS SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
• Experience/skills: 4+ years of Software Design and Development, Object Oriented Analysis/Design & GUI development, 4+ years of full stack .NET Framework with C# and WPF/Windows Forms. 4+ years of MS SQL databases and other relational database concepts.
• 8+ years combination of education and experience in software engineering

Responsibilities

• Analyzes software and data requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Architects, designs, develops software for desktop solutions to meet customer/product requirements.
• Coordinate testing, installation, and commissioning of software at customer sites.
• Provide support and maintenance for existing software applications/products.
• Ability to lead projects and provide technical oversight to a team of developers.
