Job summary

MEM Insurance is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Agile technology team. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through testing, deployment, and ongoing support, collaborating with cross-functional teammates to deliver high-quality solutions for our customers.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of hands-on software development experience, a bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred), and a proactive mindset with a focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Current and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable software that meets business requirements and user story acceptance criteria.
• Refactor and enhance existing applications to improve quality, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Execute manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and stability.
• Deploy software enhancements and new functionality following established development and release processes.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues while supporting production systems and customer needs.
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation, including design documentation and knowledge resources.
• Take ownership of assigned features and modules from concept through implementation and ongoing support.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and team discussions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Estimate development efforts and provide realistic timelines for deliverables.
• Support DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices that improve application quality and deployment efficiency.
