WHO YOU ARE:
As a Software Engineer II, you will execute on product’s vision for a modern, frictionless, scalable, persona-driven experiences, which collectively result in the best end-to-end Life & Annuities solution in the industry. You will partner with fellow engineers to create a reusable, predictable, and discoverable development framework allowing rapid, consistent, and maintainable frontend UI development. The UI framework will align to Zinnia’s design system and provide a foundation for other projects. We are seeking a team player with leadership experience, exceptional front-end development skills, and a proven track record of successful delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work as part of a team to create a reusable, predictable, and discoverable design and development framework allowing rapid, consistent, and maintainable frontend UI development
  • Facilitate and execute on product's vision for a modern, frictionless, scalable, persona-driven experiences, which collectively result in the best end-to-end Life & Annuities solution in the industry today
  • Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code for company platforms
  • Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, and improvements to company platforms

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of software development
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience developing in Reactjs and Typescript
  • Experience with Nextjs or similar web frameworks
  • Experience with headless component libraries such as Radix-UI or Amplify-UI
  • Experience with CSS and CSS frameworks like TailwindCss and Stitches
  • Experience with CI/CD and test automation
  • Must have a solid understanding of web accessibility
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
  • Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Knowledge and experience working in the insurance or financial services industry.

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 dependent on skills and location. The salary range is a good faith estimate based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.
