Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Puerto Rico seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and test embedded software for connectivity products. You will work with FPGA, hardware, systems, and software teams to embed advanced technology across a broad product portfolio.

You will implement in C++, C, Ada and Python on Linux, prepare builds for simulations and hardware, and support software releases and qualification activities. On-site position requiring clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree in related field.
• Proficient English communication (verbal and written).
• Familiar with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Embedded Development using object-oriented design.
• Experience with development tool sets (Jira, Subversion/Git, Version Management).
• U.S. citizenship required for access to information under this program/contract.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and test embedded software for connectivity products.
• Collaborate with FPGA, hardware, systems and software teams to embed technology.
• Develop software in C++, C, Ada and Python on Linux for connectivity products.
• Prepare software builds for simulation, reference platforms and target hardware.
• Create embedded test solutions for hardware qualification activities.
• Participate in software release activities and root-cause investigations.
