Charles River Laboratories in Charleston, SC seeks a Software Engineer 2 to design, develop, document and debug software for new products within the R&D team. This on-site role runs Monday–Friday and collaborates with Systems, Hardware, Test, Project and Product Managers to deliver high-quality software.

You will develop desktop and web applications, integrate hardware interfaces, create automated tests and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering field.
• 3–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience writing software for embedded Linux and desktop/web apps.

Responsabilités

• Design, architect, develop, document and debug software for new products.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware engineers, testers, project managers and product managers.
• Create automated unit tests and document developer testing.
• Troubleshoot software issues and iterate to meet requirements.
