Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, develop, test, and launch data acquisition and transport services for AWS data center infrastructure.

You will work with a mix of software, hardware, and network engineers to deliver reliable, scalable systems and participate in on-call rotations to resolve production issues. Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing and launch of new data acquisition and transport services for data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with senior and junior engineers to build new features and ensure quality.
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve production issues and promote best practices.
