Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a Software Development Engineer to lead architecture and development of data center software that keeps AWS infrastructure running efficiently and securely.

You will work with Python, Java, Go, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation and other AWS services, while contributing to high availability and security. On-call responsibilities and customer-focused design are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• In this role you’ll be leading the design, development, testing and launch of new data acquisition and transport services in the data center infrastructure space.
• You will work with senior members and junior members in the team to build new features.
• You will make sure enough test has been done to maintain the quality of the delivered software.
• You will join the oncall rotation to help solving customer issues in the production system and drive best practices that enable a quality product.
