Amazon in Austin, TX is seeking an SDE II to join the Operations Infrastructure Services team. You will build automation for onboarding workflows, develop features for the onboarding platform, and design scalable services that integrate with Amazon's network infrastructure to speed deployments across global fulfillment centers.
Daily work includes collaborating with security and deployment teams, reviewing code, and contributing to robust testing and on-call rotations.
Behind every Amazon package sits a fleet of robots accountable for its fulfillment. Our network onboarding tools allow these robots to communicate with each other so that packages get delivered on time. Operations Infrastructure Services (OIS), part of Amazon Robotics, is looking for an SDE II in Austin, TX to make that happen faster.
Our team owns the critical network onboarding infrastructure that enables hundreds of solutions across Amazon's global fulfillment network. As a member of our team, you will improve that flow for our customer. Your work will directly impact how quickly new robotics and automation technologies deploy worldwide, reducing onboarding time from weeks to days while maintaining the highest standards of network security and reliability.
Your morning starts with code reviews and a quick check on business and system metrics. You'll partner with product managers and UX designers to shape the best experience for your features, then dive into system architecture discussions for services running in AWS. After lunch, you're writing Kotlin and TypeScript — with AI-assisted tooling accelerating your workflow. You'll push code through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines into production. When things go well, the team celebrates. When they don't, automated rollbacks handle it gracefully while you investigate.
