Job summary

CoStar Group, including Apartments.com, is seeking a Software Engineer II in Irvine, CA to develop and support high-visibility web applications that service millions of users. You’ll work across the Apartments.com network, contribute to product platforms, and continuously apply new technologies to improve the software stack.

This role is based in Irvine with a 4-day onsite, 1-day remote work arrangement, offering opportunities to mentor teammates and drive architecture improvements across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
• 3+ years of production development experience with C# .Net (or .Net Core).
• Experience in relational database design (MS SQL or MySQL) including performance tuning.
• Experience in unit, performance, and automation testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop using Object Oriented principles and design patterns for reusability and maintainability.
• Develop unit-testable software with C# and contribute to the product architecture.
• Create and optimize database stored procedures and SQL scripts/ETL jobs per standards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with.NET and database teams to exchange ideas and improvements.
• Mentor other developers and help build consensus across teams.
• Evaluate new technologies to strengthen the platform and development practices.
