Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer II - Business Intelligence to join our data team building the data foundation behind leadership metrics and dashboards.

You will partner with BI analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable data models, optimize dashboards, and improve data architecture while migrating data delivery from AWS/Athena to Databricks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data quality checks.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or similar technologies for ETL development; knowledge of data analysis tools such as pandas and numpy.

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II - Business Intelligence to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will focus on building and supporting the data foundation behind reporting, dashboards, and leadership-facing metrics. You will partner closely with BI analysts and business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable data models and reliable KPI definitions. The position also plays a key part in improving data architecture, dashboard performance, and the trustworthiness of business intelligence outputs.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $139,000 - $166,800 annually

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that support data architecture.
