Job summary

Mojo Trek is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of medium-sized modules and to progressively design subsystems. You will review code and provide feedback, while learning the design principles that span our applications.

As you progress, you will independently implement smaller subsystems and participate in architectural discussions, ensuring quality, testability, and performance across services with a focus on maintainability.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of design patterns such as DRY, SOLID, ReST.
• Excellent team player with good communication skills.
• Motivated to solve difficult problems and learn new tech.
• Proficient in writing quality unit tests.
• Proficient with build and debugging tools.
• Experience with profiling tools.
• Experience with CI systems like Jenkins/GitHub and Git.
• Experience with internationalized software development.
• Experience with database concepts (queries, data models).

Responsibilities

• Produces estimates for assigned tasks from defined requirements.
• Writes quality code meeting standards and promotes reusability.
• Writes performant code aligned with KPIs.
• Understands business concepts in focus area.
• Writes clear documentation to explain design choices.
• Contributes to designs for assigned tasks.
• Translates designs into code for assigned tasks.
• Supports build/deploy processes and migrations.
• Creates build/deployment artifacts as needed.
• Provides on-call support for production systems.
• Mentors through code reviews and junior developers.
