Job summary

Amazon in Tempe, AZ, USA is seeking a Software Engineer to join Sort Tech. You will write high-quality code and build distributed microservice systems that support transportation networks, processing millions of packages daily.

You will collaborate with top engineers, design scalable solutions, and own operations of your services using real-time data, within an Agile team, applying best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, efficient and testable code
• Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture.
• Collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry to work on complex challenges in large-scale computing and find out what it takes to engineer systems at “Amazon Scale”
• Own and operate the systems that you build based on real-time customer data.
• Contribute and drive planning, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of an Agile team.
