Job summary

Parsec Education is looking for an engineer in Fresno to own software projects from design to production. You will validate agentic outputs, develop Go/Python/TypeScript code, and build ETL/data integrations. Collaboration with senior engineers and a focus on quality and data integrity are essential.

Strong communication and the ability to learn new technologies are required. Prior experience in K–12 education or mission-driven environments is a plus. Office space in Downtown Fresno is available.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience, with ownership of feature or project from design through production deployment.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript; ability to learn new languages/frameworks as needed.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts (preferably GCP) and containerized environments.
• Experience with data pipelines or API integrations, understanding data quality and failure modes.
• Ability to read unfamiliar codebases, make targeted changes, and write meaningful tests.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in K–12 education or mission-driven org is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of well-scoped projects end-to-end, directing pipelines through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Apply technical judgment to approve or reject agent-generated outputs.
• Provide feedback on agent performance to senior engineers via defined channel.
• Ensure code in Go, Python, or TypeScript is correct and secure.
• Contribute to design discussions, draft documentation, and test approaches.
• Ensure final decisions reflect your own analysis.
• Build and debug ETL pipelines and data integrations; validate fixes with tests.
• Identify risks and ambiguities in agent output; propose fixes early.
• Train and lead junior engineers in validation techniques for agentic output.
