Amazon Prime Air is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer II to design, build, test, and document embedded or distributed software applications for autonomous delivery systems. You will collaborate with a team of top engineers and researchers to deliver innovative solutions that scale.

Requirements include 3+ years of professional software development, experience in C/C++, and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, test, and document embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems and services.
Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
Mentor junior development engineers.
