Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking an experienced backend developer to lead our Cloud Platform, delivering scalable infrastructure and access‑based security products. You will own the Cloud Platform roadmap and build APIs in Go and Python on a Serverless platform.

You’ll extend Kubernetes with custom operators, work with ArgoCD, and tackle complex engineering challenges to shape our SaaS solution. Hybrid work options available in the US.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend development experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Exposure to AI/ML and LLMs, inference performance, observability tools, and analytics platforms.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting complex JSON and data structures, focusing on innovative algorithmic solutions.
• Experience with object‑oriented programming and test‑driven development in Python and Go.
• Experience building applications on top of Kubernetes with micro‑services.

Compensation

For US‑based candidates only, the base salary for this position ranges from $83,800–$174,200 per year. Compensation may also include incentive opportunities, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Eligibility requirements apply.
