Job summary

TD Bank Group in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, is seeking a Software Engineer II to develop analytics-focused components, support testing, and deliver proof-of-concept solutions aligned with business objectives.

The role requires strong Java/J2EE experience, Unix scripting, API integration, and familiarity with full-stack development and modern development tools. Candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience and a solid background in computer science or engineering.

Qualifications

5+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
3+ years of scripting (Unix) and batch processing.
3+ years of API integration experience.
Full stack development experience is a plus (e.g. Angular, Java, Spring Boot).
Experience with development tools and frameworks such as IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Develops new solutions as required for engineering programs and projects within assigned area.
Develops new features and performs unit / component tests for new application development initiatives aligned to business needs and in accordance with technology architecture standards.
Supports business inquiries and activities through small enhancements and break/fix implementations; may also review peer code.
Works with technology partners to ensure configuration and custom components meet requirements and performance goals.
Analyses technical requirements to recommend engineering solutions; may be involved in coding/story estimates.
Maintains quality code and supports testing cycles and post-production deployment; assists in incident management.
