Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain modern software solutions. You will contribute to AI-enabled transformation, leverage automation and analytics, and ensure security and compliance across the SDLC.

You’ll work with cross‑functional teams, practice DevOps, and take ownership of production‑quality code while adhering to scalable, reliable design principles. This role requires being on-site several days weekly at a U.S. Bank location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 3–5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience with testing, QA, or test automation is preferred.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of banking/financial services regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, operate and maintain software products.
• Take full stack ownership and deliver production‑ready code.
• Adhere to architectural best practices focusing on scalability and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering standards and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across engineering, product and operations.
• Embed SRE and observability practices into development workflows.
