Job summary

Suralink is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our remote-first team focused on AI-driven accounting technology. You will work with a team of developers, testing engineers, and product managers to ship valuable features to customers, while owning changes across the full software lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have strong NodeJS, Typescript, React experience, and hands-on cloud work in AWS (Lambda, S3). A degree in CS is required, and collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience building SaaS or cloud-native platforms.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of full-stack development and cloud architecture.

Full Time Remote - SLC Area Preferred, UT, US

Key Responsibilities

Work with a team of developers, testing engineers, and product managers to ship value to customers.

Work full-stack, finding opportunities to deliver small, iterative pieces of value fast

Own changes and features across the software development lifecycle

Experience and Professional Qualifications

Excellent team and communication skills and experience collaborating closely across engineering and product

Experience in NodeJS, Typescript, React (or other framework) environments

Experience working in AWS building serverless and managed services (Lambda, S3, SQS, etc)

Deep expertise in designing and implementing great software following best practices (Frontend, Backend, or Both)

Passionate about being close to the customers to better understand their pain points

Experience with/understanding of various architectural styles (SOA, Microservices, Monoliths)

Expertise with various storage and caching technologies, scaling, and optimization

Self-driven and detail-oriented with a passion for learning

Team-oriented and willing to help drive excellence up and down the stack and across the team.

SQL in general but MySQL, PostgreSQL are preferred

Degree in Computer Science required

Critical Thinking -- ability to approach complex problems logically and systematically.

Analytical skills – proficiency in analysing system requirements and translating them into technical solutions.

Attention to detail – ensure precision in code, designs, and implementations.

Team Collaboration – experience working and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Adaptability – ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
