Job summary

Gables Engineering is seeking software engineers to design and develop embedded avionics software powering advanced cockpit systems. You will work on safety-critical software, from concept to cockpit, contributing to both high-level and assembly language code for commercial aircraft.

Qualifications

• Design and development of embedded software for avionic equipment.
• Experience with real-time systems and safety-critical software is a plus.
• Understanding of software verification and validation workflows.

What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer, you will be at the heart of our engineering team, designing and developing embedded software that powers advanced avionics systems. You will:

• Design & Build – Develop and debug assembly language and high-level software for avionic equipment used in commercial aircraft. You will build prototypes.
• Innovate & Optimize – Determine optimal software/hardware partitioning to provide technical guidance across multiple ongoing projects.
• Verify – Participate in validation and verification processes per standards and procedures.
• Spec & Implement – Specify requirements and implement software solutions for Gables Engineering products and in-house required equipment.
