S&P Global, Inc. is looking for a Backend Software Engineer II to join their Emergence team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will develop APIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams, transforming abstract business requirements into technical implementations.

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $175,000, with additional bonuses and benefits including unlimited PTO, parental leave, and extensive tuition assistance for professional education.

Qualifications

• At least two years of direct experience developing SaaS applications within a team.
• Thoughtful and efficient communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience developing SaaS application backends and APIs using various tools.
• Experience across many stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to turn abstract business requirements into concrete technical plans.
• Sound reasoning about loosely‑coupled systems.

As a Backend Software Engineer II on the Emergence team, you will develop the software behind our reliable, secure, and performant APIs. You will collaborate with colleagues from Machine Learning, Product, and Infrastructure, as well as other engineers within the Applications team.

Salary: The anticipated base salary range for this position is 130k-175k. In addition, the role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus and equity plans.
