Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in full-stack technologies for enterprise-scale applications.
• Understand design best practices, translate to code artifacts and integrate API/data layers.
• Partner with Product Owners to define and develop applications/architecture and improve engineering processes.
• Build data expertise and ensure data quality for allocated domains.
• Maintain and enhance microservices-based components in the application suite.
• Establish and promote development best practices and guidelines.
• Write automated unit, integration, performance and visual regression tests.
• Integrate test execution with CI/CD in line with DevSecOps strategy.

• Demonstrate proficiency in full-stack technologies for enterprise-scale applications.

• 2-5 years of experiencedeveloping distributed applications with moderate-to-high complexity
• Proficiency inJava and Spring Bootfor backend development
• Strong hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC(OpenID Connect) implementations – this is a core focus area
• Practical experience withSAML/SSO implementationsandRole-Based Access Control (RBAC)in enterprise systems
• AdvancedAPI design and security testingskills, including OAuth flow testing
• Working knowledge ofAI/ML frameworks(LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen) and understanding of how Agentic AI enhances development workflows
• Experience withAI-assisted development tools(GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) and their practical application in daily coding
• Working knowledge ofrelational databases(Oracle/PostgreSQL) andNoSQL databases(MongoDB/DynamoDB) from both storage and compute perspectives
• Familiarity withRESTful API developmentand testing tools like Postman
• Experience withversion control(Git/GitHub) and basic CI/CD concepts
• Ability to work inAgile/DevSecOps environmentswith emphasis on security, automation, and quality

FOR CHICAGO ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $88,000 and $100,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
