WOOD Federal Solutions, Inc. in Fort Meade, Maryland, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance complex software systems, including advanced analytics and real-time applications.

You will work independently or on a team to build high-quality software, test components, and resolve defects. The role requires seven years of SWE experience or a Bachelor's in Computer Science, with substitution allowed for years of experience; U.S.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and user needs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Four (4) years of SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
