Job summary

Parsons is seeking a CNO Software Developer to contribute to cyber network operations tools for national security missions. You will code in C, with Python for server components, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver dependable capabilities.

The position requires an active Top Secret clearance, a CS-related degree, and 2+ years of embedded or cyber tool development experience. Travel up to 10% and a competitive benefits package are included.

Responsibilities

• Contribute code to CNO tool components in C under guidance.

• Operationalize CVEs into deployable capabilities under supervision.

We are seeking a CNO Software Developer to develop and maintain cyber network operations tools and capabilities that enable critical national security missions.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Contribute code to CNO tool components in C under close guidance of senior and lead engineers, following established designs and standards
• Write code predominantly in C, with contributions in Python for server-side components
• Execute assigned development tasks following established procedures and coding standards
• Troubleshoot software defects using debugging tools and techniques learned from senior team members
• Support operationalizing proof-of-concept vulnerabilities and CVEs into deployable capabilities under supervision
• Collaborate with team members on vulnerability research integration activities
• Contribute to test procedures and technical documentation for CNO software deliverables
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Top Secret required; must be able to attain and maintain TS/SCI
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, etc.)
• 2+ years of relevant cyber capability tool development and/or systems/embedded development experience (entry level); Master's Degree will be considered in lieu of experience requirement.
• 0-2+ years developing in C or C++
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
• Experience developing in Windows or Linux environments
• Version control (Git)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build automation workflows
• Experience developing in both Windows and Linux environments
• Building applications in Python
• Knowledge of concurrent application development concepts (e.g., multi-threaded and/or distributed)
• Multi-architecture assembly languages (e.g., ARM, MIPS)
• Mobile development experience (e.g., Objective-C, Swift for iOS; Java, Kotlin for Android)
• Additional operating systems (e.g., OSX, router/embedded firmware platforms)
• Certifications include OSCP, OSED, OSWE, Corelan Academy. None required.

Travel Required: Up to 10% for remote roles.

Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
