Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer I to join Annapurna Labs in Cupertino, CA. You will design, implement, and test software across the stack, from low-level systems code to compilers and runtimes, writing efficient code in C/C++ or Python.

You will collaborate with hardware and systems teams to optimize software for custom silicon like Graviton and Trainium, contributing to production-quality software for scalable cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Programming in at least one modern language (C, C++, Java, or Python).
• Fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software across the stack, from low-level systems to runtimes and tooling.
• Write maintainable code in C, C++, or Python.
• Optimize performance on custom hardware (Graviton, Trainium, Inferentia).
• Debug complex issues across hardware-software boundary.
• Collaborate with hardware, compiler, and systems teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Document work and present results to the team.
