Job summary

GitHub is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Security Products team, building tools to identify and fix vulnerabilities at scale. You will work with a distributed team to design, prototype, implement, ship, and support high-quality user experiences.

You will write production-ready code in Ruby, Go, and JavaScript, collaborate with product managers and designers, and contribute to APIs, tests, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of software engineering with production systems.
• Experience with languages listed (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, Python) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and maintain production code in Ruby, Go, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand problems, explore solutions, and build new features.
• Ship small features and bug fixes regularly, and grow to handle larger, more complex work.
• Participate in code reviews, planning, and technical discussions to improve quality and reliability.
