• General understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and Agile processes.

• Familiarity with Jira ticketing and Git.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Strong communication skills.
• U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an agile team sprint planning/stand ups.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.

YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their QA career who is passionate about ensuring product quality within the software lifecycle, learning automation tooling and collaborating with developers in a fast pace industry. This is a 3 month temporary employment engagement. There is potential to convert to regular employment based on performance and business need.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute manual and automated test cases against a full stack software
• Document and report software defects within the software lifecycle in Jira

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field/equivalent education
• 0-2 years experience in software qa/testing (internships included)

• Familiarity with Jira ticketing and Git

• Exposure to automation tooling (playwright/cypress/selenium)
• Experience with API tooling
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (github actions/ jenkins, etc.)

• Ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a fast paced environment

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: Denver: $70,000; Long Beach: $80,000

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Work Location —this role will be onsite at either our Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA location, with travel to other sites as needed. Work environment —the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job. Physical demands —the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving. This position will be open until it is successfully filled.
