Job summary

RTX is seeking an engineer to join our unmanned aircraft software team in El Segundo, CA. You will design, develop, integrate and verify embedded software in a real-time OS, primarily in C/C++.

The role requires strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude to deliver robust software for complex aerospace systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field and experience with Linux, real-time OS, C/C++ and containerized deployments.

As an engineer on our team, you will be involved in the design, development, integration and verification of our unmanned aircraft software application team. We work in an embedded real time operating system environment, coded in C/C , so proficiency in these areas will help the candidate come up to speed quickly. Candidates are also required to have excellent communication skills to communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral form to customers. The candidate must be adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
