Job summary

Yardi seeks a Software Development Engineer I for its Residential Military team in Santa Barbara, helping design, develop, test, and maintain software for military housing operations. You translate requirements into effective technical solutions and ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with product partners and stakeholders, perform unit testing, resolve defects, and apply AI-assisted development tools while upholding security and coding standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Foundational programming skills in one or more modern languages/frameworks (Angular, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java).
• Exposure to relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Working knowledge of software development tools (editors, compilers, debuggers, version control).
• Fundamental understanding of APIs, data structures, debugging, testing, and multi-layer architecture.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and maintenance of software for military housing operations.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve defects while ensuring quality, reliability, and performance.
• Perform unit testing and validation to support accuracy and interoperability.
• Implement software enhancements and approved changes to improve functionality and UX.
• Develop foundational knowledge of software engineering, AI technologies, and CI/CD practices.
