JOB SUMMARY:
The Software Engineer I – II position is a full-time staff position within the Product Development Department and reports to an engineering lead. The Software Engineer I – II supports the development, functionality, and reporting capabilities of healthcare-related software systems. This is a unique opportunity to work on meaningful public-sector projects and grow your software development/engineering career in an AI-augmented environment focused on data quality, using cutting-edge AI tools like Cursor, WindSurf, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and others. We are expecting to fill this position with an entry-level candidate or someone in the earlier stages of their software engineering/developer career.

This position will have access to various applications that house confidential information, including county records and employee demographic and private health information; ensure that access is used responsibly, maintaining the integrity and security of systems while preventing accidental or malicious misuse.
QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
An acceptable equivalent combination of education, experience, and skill will be considered.
Education or Certification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, preferred.
