Cox Automotive is seeking a Software Engineer I in a hybrid role with remote work part of the week. The base salary ranges from $74,000 to $111,000, with potential additional compensation through incentives. You will design scalable software, contribute to a scrum team, and help deliver leading-edge products for drivers and dealers.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continued learning, and applying modern software design practices, while supporting a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 18 months experience in object-oriented programming (C#, Java, C++, or similar).
• Demonstrated experience developing applications.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• High energy, confident, ambitious, and self-motivated.
• Must be an effective communicator.
• Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, ReactJS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be a passionate and flexible engineer, collaborate with your team to build, deploy, monitor, and manage a highly performing and highly available production system.
• Write readable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with team members on best practices, code reviews, internal tools and process improvements.
• Evangelize new ideas within your team.
• Explore open source or industry standard solutions that could be a fit for the organization.
