Job summary

The Blue Venture Fund is seeking a Software Engineer in Oak Brook, IL to join a collaborative engineering team. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, with strong emphasis on both frontend and backend development using modern frameworks and tools.

You will work with React, TypeScript, NodeJS, and GraphQL, applying DevOps practices to automate workflows and improve product quality.

Qualifications

Experience with full software development life cycle from conception to deployment.
Proficient in front-end and back-end coding languages.
Experience with React, TypeScript, NodeJS, GraphQL.
Familiarity with DevOps and automation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test applications (API, Web apps) in accordance with established standards.
Collaborate with design and product teams to ship features using React, TypeScript, NodeJS, and GraphQL.
Contribute to and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
Collaborate with other software developers, product managers and software architects to plan, design, and build software.
Ensure non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are considered.
Work in an Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that improve developer experience and productivity.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture.
Troubleshoot and debug issues and bugs in applications.
Create design diagrams and technical documentation.
