Job summary

Dahl Consulting is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Minneapolis, MN. You will contribute across the full technology stack, building scalable APIs, AI agents, data pipelines, and user interfaces.

Responsibilities include ensuring security and performance, collaborating with product managers, and participating in code reviews. 1–2 years of experience and a bachelor's degree are required; a hybrid/remote-friendly environment may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in software development, design, and deployment.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and Node.js.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts and practices.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture including microservices, APIs, AI agents, and data pipelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues across the full technology stack.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable full-stack solutions including APIs, AI agents, data pipelines, and UI components.
• Follow architectural standards and software engineering best practices with responsible AI principles.
• Ensure security, scalability, maintainability, and data privacy in applications.
• Write unit, integration, and automation tests to improve software quality.
• Document technical designs, decisions, configurations, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack and deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions; evaluate new tools.
