Chewy, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer I to design and implement scalable solutions, participate in architecture reviews, and contribute to deployment pipelines in a cloud-based environment.

The role requires building APIs and microservices using Java with Spring Boot/Spring WebFlux, and working with Postgres or other databases. The team emphasizes coding standards, on-call rotations, and collaboration across scrum ceremonies to deliver high-quality software with reliability and performance

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus 1 year of experience.
• Experience must include building, deploying, testing APIs and micro services.
• Java and Spring Boot/Spring WebFlux.
• Relational or non-relational databases such as Postgres SQL.
• Automation testing tools such as Playwright.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Developing CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, develop and implement solutions focusing on scalability, latency, and resiliency.
• Participate in architecture and code reviews to deliver high quality code.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies such as grooming, planning, demos and retros.
