Job summary

Energy Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our Chicago-area team. You will support development, testing, maintenance, and deployment of applications under guidance from senior engineers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to code quality with unit tests.

The ideal candidate has a BS in software engineering or CS and at least 1 year of hands-on experience, including internships or projects. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant software development experience.
• Experience with Git and SQL basics in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and testing concepts.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain, and enhance software applications under guidance.
• Create and execute unit tests to verify functionality.
• Troubleshoot defects and escalate complex issues.
