We're partnering with a leading engineering and simulation technology organization seeking a Software Engineer I to join its growing development team in Tulsa. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with systems, software, and project engineers to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Participate in software requirements definition, decomposition, and design activities.
- Analyze software and hardware interface requirements.
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications for simulation and training systems.
- Write software in C, C++, Fortran, and other programming languages as required.
- Work in Linux-based development environments.
- Perform software integration, implementation, verification, and acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot software issues and identify effective solutions.
- Support installation, acceptance testing, and deployment of systems at customer locations.
- Work closely with software, hardware, manufacturing, and program management teams throughout project execution.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, reports, source code, and test procedures.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout project development.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience or academic exposure to software design, development, debugging, and testing.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and software development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C/C++ development.
- Exposure to Python, C#, Fortran, Ada, or other programming languages.
- Experience using Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git or Subversion.
- Understanding of networking concepts and system integration.
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving simulation, modeling, or engineering software development.
- Experience with software development environments and tools.

Travel Requirements
- Approximately 25% travel.

Work Schedule
- Standard Monday through Friday schedule.
