Job summary

Imprivata in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Software Engineer I to contribute to our full-stack platform. You’ll design, implement, and review code, participate in agile ceremonies, and deliver high-quality software that customers rely on.

You’ll work with Spring, Hibernate, React, and cloud platforms, collaborating across teams to shape features from concept to production in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or CE required.
  • 1–3 years of software development experience with a successful coding track record.
  • Proficiency in Java (8+; 17+ preferred) and front-end tech (Angular/React).
  • Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, JPA/Hibernate, REST, OAuth.
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to design, scope, and implement feature requests and bug fixes.
  • Engage in client support to monitor and triage issues.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities and code reviews.
  • Ensure secure and performant software through testing and best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation and shared development methodologies.

We are seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

Job Summary

As a full-stack Software Engineer, you will be able to make contributions to our cutting-edge software platform. You’ll provide hands-on software development, participating in design and code reviews. You will document and implement methodologies to ensure high quality products are delivered to our customers. You’ll be able to feel passionate about the work you’re doing and see the direct impact of your contributions to the product.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Engage in client support to help monitor, diagnose, and triage bugs
  • Collaborate with others to design, scope, and implement feature requests and bug fixes
  • Communicate with sales/business to meet development goals
  • Participate in group activities such as pair programming and knowledge sharing
  • Understand specific areas of the codebase; able to work in other areas of the codebase with guidance
  • Weigh in on technical decisions that impact specific areas of the product the product
  • Develop secure and performant solutions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of several core technologies used within the platform. For example: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Data, Hibernate, MySQL, Kafka, Spark, React
  • Act as Development Team member of Agile Scrum Team
  • Complete tasks using Agentic development methodologies
  • Track all tasks, estimates, and work logged in JIRA
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and implementation of methodologies to ensure high-quality deployments.
  • Participate in Security Training, including ongoing education, contests and security reviews
  • Other duties as assigned and required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • 1-3 years of related experience in software development or product development environment with a successful coding and development track record
  • Java technical capabilities (Java 8 or higher, Java 17+ preferred) including working with front-end technologies (such as Angular or React - ReactJS, React Hooks, Redux, Redux Sagas, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, SaSS, CSS are a plus; exposure to legacy JSF a plus) and back-end technologies and frameworks (such as Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, JPA, Hibernate, REST, and OAuth). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Database skills (SQL). Experience with Oracle MySQL a plus
  • Persistence in the face of roadblocks; ability to dispatch roadblocks efficiently, pulling in others as necessary
  • Seeks empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests and external research
  • Delivers code changes to QA in a timely manner that have been thoroughly unit tested and have minimal bugs
  • Ability to work in team-based setting with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to be a full stack application developer

This position offers a total compensation range of $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
