Oceaneering is seeking a Software Engineer I to join the Oceaneering Technologies group. You will learn processes, apply software engineering practices, and contribute under supervision of a software program lead on underwater systems for Navy and DoD projects.
The role offers opportunities to work across the full software lifecycle, interface with the team, and grow skills in C/C++, robotics, and related technologies in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
The Software Engineer I serves as a core member of the Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) group. Engineers are expected to learn OTECH processes and best engineering practices; and apply the knowledge towards growing a software engineering skill set. This role is key in implementing the bulk of the engineering work under the supervision of a software program lead. OTECH produces and maintains unique underwater systems – typically for US Navy and other US Government Department of Defense customers. Our projects are all one-of-a-kind. Projects range from quick burn to lifecycle management of fielded systems. The ideal candidate for this position would have a zest for being thrown into new situations and have a knack for asking questions when guidance is needed, while capable of functioning independently when given clear instructions.
We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. Employee benefits vary by role, however, may include Health and Wellness, Mental Health, Retirement Savings, Life and Disability, Paid Maternity and Parental Leave, Paid Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement, and an Employee Assistance Program.
Compensation $74,000.00 - $112,000.00
