Job summary

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer I to join our team in Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite, with emphasis on integration with COTS and FOSS products.

The engineer will work extensively with Java, Spring, NoSQL, and container technologies. The ideal candidate holds an active TS/SCI clearance with FS polygraph, a CS degree (or equivalent with experience), and hands-on experience with Linux, scripting,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with FS polygraph.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of Software Engineer experience, OR 4 years of Software Engineer experience.
• Experience with Linux CLI and tools, scripting with Bash/Python, Java development, and Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB), Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka, CI/CD (Bamboo, GitLab CI), Ansible, and Git.

• Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot GHOSTGEM's software suite; implement, test, and integrate with other COTS and FOSS products.

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer I to join our team!

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university OR
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR
• 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills + Experience

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Recent software development experience using Java
• Recent software development experience using the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Integration
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as Bamboo and GitLab CI
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools including Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System

Desired Skills + Experience

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment
