Job summary

Humana Inc is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain secure file transfers and API integrations with our Record Management System.

The role requires 2+ years in systems analysis or application development, hands-on C#, .NET, SSIS, SQL, HTML/CSS, and the ability to work remotely from Kentucky with occasional travel. You will configure automated file transfers, manage FTP/SFTP connections, and ensure security standards while collaborating with Humana Military and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Visual Studio, ADO Repository, and NuGet package management using C# and .NET.
• Hands-on experience building SSIS packages.
• Interim security clearance approval NBIS required; U.S. citizenship due to DoD contract.

In addition, this position is responsible for designing and implementing API integrations between our existing Record Management System and web applications, supporting both file upload and download functionality. Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position. You will report to the Associate Director, HGB IT Platform and Foundational Services for Humana Military.# The Software Engineer 2 develops and maintains solutions that enable secure and reliable file transfers between external partners and internal systems. You will design and implement API integrations with the organization's Record Management System and web applications to support file upload and download functionality.Key duties include configuring and troubleshooting automated file transfer jobs, establishing FTP/SFTP connections, gathering business requirements, and ensuring compliance with operational and security standards. We also ask that you have proficiency in C#, .NET, HTML, CSS, SSIS, SQL, and related tools, as well as effective collaboration and documentation skills.**Required Qualifications*** 2 or more years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development* Proven experience in Visual Studio, ADO Repository, and NuGet package management using C# and .NET.* Hands-on experience building SSIS packages.* Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS– National Background Investigation Service)* Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position.
