Job summary

CVS Health in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions for Payer Operations, focusing on metadata enrichment, automated contracts, and performance measurement.

You will architect end-to-end integration patterns across cloud services, core clinical systems, and an Enterprise Data Platform, while driving scalable, secure data solutions with governance and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational DBMS
• Dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
• Programming in SQL, Python, and related languages for cloud/on‑prem data warehousing
• Troubleshooting data issues and applying performance improvement techniques
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Architect and build end‑to‑end integration patterns bridging cloud-native SaaS, core clinical systems, and data platforms
• Conduct system testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure reliability and scalability
• Act as a technical consultant to Product and Business leads and refine requirements
• Explore and apply AI/ML to drive intelligent automation and innovation
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and best practices for platform governance
• Ambiguity tolerance and proactive stakeholder questioning to shape solutions
