Job summary

SpaceXSI is hiring a Software Engineer for the Grok Voice Model team. You will design, build, and operate the systems behind Grok Voice, delivering multilingual spoken interactions with low latency across devices.

You’ll own data pipelines, distributed training, and production deployment from prototype to global scale. The role focuses on large-scale data processing, model training and inference, and integration of voice models into real-time services, with a strong emphasis on stability and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Expert-level Python, writing clean, efficient production-quality code for large-scale systems.
• Hands-on experience building distributed data processing systems with Spark and Ray.
• Experience building and running large-scale distributed training and inference systems on Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing and optimizing model training and inference software in JAX or PyTorch.
• Experience building automated testing, evaluation, and A/B pipelines for production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale distributed data pipelines for real-world and synthetic audio data.
• Build and optimize distributed training infrastructure for speech-language models in JAX and PyTorch.
• Develop automated evaluation and testing systems for accuracy, audio quality, latency, and real-time performance.
• Integrate voice models into production applications and deploy at global scale with low latency.
• Profile and optimize system performance across training and inference for throughput and memory efficiency.
