Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join Goldman Sachs as a Full-Time Software Engineer at the Associate level within the Capital Solutions Group (CSG), specifically on the Mortgages and Structured Products team in Dallas.

The Capital Solutions Group (CSG) is a dynamic division focused on delivering comprehensive financing, origination, structuring, and risk management solutions to corporate and investor clients. CSG leverages cutting-edge technologies to address complex challenges in alternative investments and private credit, supporting the firm's advisory and origination businesses to provide seamless coverage and innovative financing options.

The Mortgages and Structured Products Engineering team supports multiple lending businesses within CSG. Responsibilities include:

1. Architecting and developing platforms for portfolio management, risk reporting, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
2. Supporting business-as-usual activities for lending and structured credit trading businesses.

As these businesses expand, ongoing engineering investment is needed to support revenue growth, mitigate risks, meet regulatory requirements, and enhance client satisfaction.

We seek talented software developers eager to solve challenging engineering problems by building scalable software systems and applying financial engineering to transform data into actionable insights.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
• Experience with clean code practices and automated testing.
• Ability to manage technical ownership, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and work within a global team.
• Designing scalable and reliable systems, especially RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with SDLC tools and DevOps methodologies (e.g., Gitlab, Maven, NPM).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MongoDB, MemSQL is a plus.
• Focus on front-end design and user experience.
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to design and develop applications from the ground up.
