Job summary

Kongsberg Discovery is growing its Software Development team and seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and evolve full stack software and architecture for advanced monitoring and sensing systems used in commercial and naval applications.

You will work across the full stack (frontend, backend, databases) and collaborate with signal processing, systems, and hardware teams to define architecture, technology choices, and development practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with software architecture and design of complex software systems.
• Experience with C#, .NET, and HMI/GUI application development.
• Experience developing both frontend and backend applications.
• Experience with time-series databases.
• Experience with distributed systems and software lifecycle management.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications, backend services, and supporting infrastructure
• Drive architectural decisions, technology selection, and software design best practices
• Develop software solutions for data visualization, monitoring, configuration, and system management

The Software Engineer Full Stack & Architecture will be responsible for the design, development, and evolution of software solutions across the entire technology stack. The role combines hands‑on software development with software architecture responsibilities and requires close collaboration with signal processing, communication, systems, and hardware teams.

The position will play a key role in defining software architecture, technology choices, integration patterns, and development practices for advanced monitoring and sensing systems serving commercial and naval applications.
