As part of the Supply Chain Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in building end-to-end, best-in-class software solutions for Apple’s Supply Chain needs, ranging from Supply Planning and Demand Planning to Product Distribution and beyond. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to define and implement solutions that optimize Apple’s internal business processes.

Description

Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work independently, while collaborating effectively with multi-functional teams across the globe (US, Singapore, India, and Europe). This role will have a direct impact on Apple’s business, requiring interaction with various internal teams to deliver cutting-edge products in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and optimize highly scalable, distributed systems, leveraging cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture to build robust and resilient solutions.
2. Lead proof-of-concept projects and pilot implementations to showcase new ideas.
3. Strive for excellence by continuously seeking ways to enhance system reliability, performance, and security.
4. Contribute to design and code reviews, and assist in debugging and resolving issues.
5. Contribute to solution and architectural design reviews.
6. Develop system components and take full responsibility for the timely delivery, quality, and performance of the team’s work.
7. Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, support teams, and end users.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in enterprise-level application development
• Hands-on experience in developing software applications using Java, Python, and related technologies
• Experience working with various database technologies (RDBMS, Key-Value, Document-based, etc.)
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or ReactJS
• Experience with Python data analytics platforms such as pandas, DataFrames, numpy, etc.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithm design, and object-oriented programming
• Proven ability to research, architect, and drive complex technical solutions involving multiple technologies
• Experience deploying distributed, large-scale, low latency web applications with REST, Data Caching Services, DB schema design, and data access technologies
• Experience in designing ecosystems for Web applications & API Platforms
• Experience developing software and services in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, etc.
• Experience building Django/Flask-based app servers and API development
• Experience with container orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• AI/ML-related experience is a plus
• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG is a plus
• Experience developing applications for the Supply Chain domain is a plus
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers
• Ability to manage and collaborate with contractors
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
• Team lead experience is a plus; occasionally handle application production support
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
