Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to design and maintain robust backends in C#/.NET and Python (FastAPI), supporting large-scale, interconnected engineering datasets. You will help to optimize APIs for a real-time browser-based React frontend and contribute across the stack from infrastructure to frontend, leveraging AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Full stack proficiency: React and TypeScript for frontend-backend integration.
• Backend mastery in C# / .NET or Python (FastAPI), with interest/experience in Rust or C++.
• Solid memory management, asynchronous programming, and low-latency design.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and API design.
• Cloud & Infra: AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Performance Engineering: Implement a high-performance ECS (Entity Component System) and manage complex data flows to support real-time engineering solvers.
• Bridge The Stack: Develop and optimize APIs (GraphQL, gRPC, or REST) that feed a real-time, browser-based React frontend.
• Full‑Spectrum Contribution: Maintain a "no‑silos" mentality, contributing to different areas of the codebase—from infrastructure to frontend—leveraging AI‑assisted workflows to accelerate output.
• System Evolution: Design database schemas (PostgreSQL) and services with an eye toward future high-performance migrations (e.g., Rust/C++).
