Job summary

FT Partners is seeking a Software Engineer in San Francisco to help build FT Base, the firm’s data ecosystem and enterprise AI tooling, using Python, Django, DRF, TypeScript and PostgreSQL. This role focuses on delivering stable features and reducing technical debt within a mission-critical web platform.

You will join a hands-on engineering team, review prototypes, design scalable components, and collaborate across business units to ensure robust, maintainable solutions that support rapid growth

FT Partners is looking for a skilled Software Engineer who is knowledgeable in building high quality impactful applications and well versed in AI development methodologies. FT Partners is an investment bank headquartered in San Francisco focusing on brokering FinTech transactions. We are looking to bolster our engineering team located in our San Francisco office.

Software Engineer, San Francisco Hybrid

FT Partners is looking for a skilled Software Engineer who is knowledgeable in building high quality impactful applications and well versed in AI development methodologies. FT Partners is an investment bank headquartered in San Francisco focusing on brokering FinTech transactions. We are looking to bolster our engineering team located in our San Francisco office.

You will be helping build FT Base, our firm's digital backbone which manages our data ecosystem, project lifecycles, AI Agents, and proprietary CRM. It's built in Python, Django (DRF), Typescript, React, PostgreSQL. It's a mission critical application with heavy usage on a constant basis. It also powers an MCP server to provide data and interactivity to employees through enterprise AI tooling.

We are looking for people who can produce stable features without racking up technical debts, and can help organize, consolidate, and strengthen our suite of software for sustained impact.

Qualifications

Experience requirements, either:

• 2 years as a Software Engineer in a web application environment OR
• 2 years as a Software Engineer and reputable boot camp certification OR
• Computer Science degree (4 year) and some projects or work experience to show

Python, Typescript, APIs, Git and web application system design concepts

• Strong A.I. prompt-driven development abilities, backed by technical understanding
• You will need to be able to explain and verify any ai-produced code you submit, on a line by line basis.
• Experience overcoming the obstacles that lie beyond the prototype, and instinct toward cohesive organized systems that scale
