Job summary

Faro Health is seeking seasoned software professionals to join a fast-paced, hybrid team in San Diego. You will deliver features end-to-end across frontend and backend, mentor juniors, and contribute to AI-powered trial design tools.

A strong foundation in TypeScript or Python, React, Node.js, and cloud experience is required. The role emphasizes a customer-centric mindset, collaboration, and the ability to adapt in a growth-oriented startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering scalable software products with SaaS architectures.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and RESTful Services.
• Strong skills in TypeScript or Python, with willingness to learn both.
• Experience with React, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Docker.
• Experience designing relational schemas on PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with cloud providers like Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

• Customer-Centric Mindset: Deliver a great user experience by understanding customer needs and ensuring every feature contributes to their workflow.
• Exposure to AI-powered feature development is a plus

Skills and Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in delivering scalable software products with SaaS architectures
• Understanding of microservice architecture and RESTful Services
• Strong skills in TypeScript or Python, with willingness and intent to learn both
• Experience with React, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Docker
• Preferably having experience with UV, Vite, Redis Cache, Postgres, Express, Inversify
• Some exposure to event-driven systems or message queues
• Experience designing relational schemas on relational data stores like PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Experience with cloud-service providers like Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
• Constructive in code reviews and willing to mentor junior engineers
• Good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growth-minded startup where requirements change
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on different assignments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent training experience
• Awareness of AI/LLM concepts, Microsoft Office Add-in development, or clinical trials / regulated healthcare domain is a plus

Salary

• Salary range for this position is $152,000 to $179,000
• Salary listed reflects the base salary only and does not include other elements of total compensation
• Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

Equity

In addition to this position's salary (listed above), equity will be a major component of the total compensation for this position. We aim to offer higher-than-average equity compensation for a company of our size, and communicate equity amounts at the time of offer issuance.
